Rebekah and Caleb

These are truly two of the nicest people I've met. Rebekah and Caleb were so fun and laid back. It was a blast shooting their wedding. Rebekah is from Australia, so it was extra fun meeting and talking with her family. I also had the pleasure of working with a great second shooter, April Turner. Thanks April, you're awesome! As you can tell from the images, these two couldn't stop kissing! Stay tuned for a slideshow with some non-kissing shots! Thanks guys for a very fun time!

Long time, no blog

Hi everyone, it's been a while. As some of you may know, I've been a little out of the loop lately. Sometime around the middle of May, I got a phone call that, while Earth shattering at the time, has taught me a lot about life and has turned out to be a blessing for us in some ways. Mom and I have lived far away from each other since I was 18. She's now in FL and I have been traveling back and forth every few weeks to see how things are going and have some fun when she has some energy. Mom was diagnosed with brain cancer in June. She underwent brain surgery, and now is still going through chemo and radiation treatments. Even though she is weakened, she is stronger than ever. Her attitude is amazing and inspiring! She has stated that she laughs more now than ever before. Seems strange, doesn't it? There is something about
"living in the present only" that does that to us. When we are "forced" to only "be", not think too far ahead or about what has happened in the past, only live and enjoy right now, it's a beautiful thing! I think it's how we are all suppose to live, but we get
so caught up in life's "distractions", things that don't mean anything. We do it daily, hourly, each minute! Why? And, I guess there has to be a balance somewhat, which is life's funny challenge. Mom has always worried about everything under the sun, intensely. She's always been a dweller. Not now, not when we think there might be limited time. My message, and her message to you, is...don't waste one minute thinking too much, dwelling on anything that isn't positive, waiting to do something you know you should or have always wanted to, don't wait to live your life, BUT at the same time, be content and know peace where you are, in each moment! It's a tough one, isn't it? I'm getting better at it each day, how about you? One day at a time!
