Molly-Take 2
There that's a little better...maybe. Oh, by the way, there is a new blog and website on the way!! So stay tuned.
Molly's photo session
Ok, I'm trying something new here. Believe it or not, I'm horrible at Photoshop! There, the secret is out! Seriously, this is such an experiment for me, so here goes...a collage!!! Phew.....it's finished, but I'm thinking it might be a little small, so this might take a few times to get it right. Anyhoo, this is Molly. She's is such a cutie and had some of the best expressions! It's a good thing she is so adorable, since you might see a re-post, as I experiment with my sizing of this collage, etc.

Rebekah and Caleb
These are truly two of the nicest people I've met. Rebekah and Caleb were so fun and laid back. It was a blast shooting their wedding. Rebekah is from Australia, so it was extra fun meeting and talking with her family. I also had the pleasure of working with a great second shooter, April Turner. Thanks April, you're awesome! As you can tell from the images, these two couldn't stop kissing! Stay tuned for a slideshow with some non-kissing shots! Thanks guys for a very fun time!
Long time, no blog
Hi everyone, it's been a while. As some of you may know, I've been a little out of the loop lately. Sometime around the middle of May, I got a phone call that, while Earth shattering at the time, has taught me a lot about life and has turned out to be a blessing for us in some ways. Mom and I have lived far away from each other since I was 18. She's now in FL and I have been traveling back and forth every few weeks to see how things are going and have some fun when she has some energy. Mom was diagnosed with brain cancer in June. She underwent brain surgery, and now is still going through chemo and radiation treatments. Even though she is weakened, she is stronger than ever. Her attitude is amazing and inspiring! She has stated that she laughs more now than ever before. Seems strange, doesn't it? There is something about
"living in the present only" that does that to us. When we are "forced" to only "be", not think too far ahead or about what has happened in the past, only live and enjoy right now, it's a beautiful thing! I think it's how we are all suppose to live, but we get
so caught up in life's "distractions", things that don't mean anything. We do it daily, hourly, each minute! Why? And, I guess there has to be a balance somewhat, which is life's funny challenge. Mom has always worried about everything under the sun, intensely. She's always been a dweller. Not now, not when we think there might be limited time. My message, and her message to you, is...don't waste one minute thinking too much, dwelling on anything that isn't positive, waiting to do something you know you should or have always wanted to, don't wait to live your life, BUT at the same time, be content and know peace where you are, in each moment! It's a tough one, isn't it? I'm getting better at it each day, how about you? One day at a time!

Lilly
Lindsay and Owen
You may remember a few short weeks ago, I did a maternity session with Lindsay. This is Owen and family! Lindsay and her Hubby like a certain special effect that I use in post-processing called "green". It gives the images a darker, richer feel. I like it too! Very fun and fine art-ish! We even got a good shot of one of the family hounds, always an added bonus!! In case you don't know me very well, I love animals! If you ever hire me for a session in your home and have pets, you will likely end up with some portraits of them as well. After all, they are a part of the family too!
Trip to warmth!
A few weeks ago, we went to Florida to see my family. It's always interesting when we go, because I find myself always trying to
decide if I should lug along all my camera equipment, or just settle for a point and shoot. This time I did bring almost everything, but told myself I would not obsess with taking photographs and just relax with my family. YOu photographers
out there know exactly what I'm talking about...living life, instead of always trying to capture it every minute! I did pretty good
for most of the week...just took family photos, etc. casually enjoying my time..Until my Husband and I went to the airport a little too early. We decided to go outside (to soak in all the warm air, before heading back North) and wait... That's when I spotted him! His eyes were amazing! His beak, magnificent! Ok, my Hubby is pretty cute, too! I followed this poor bird around the parking lot, until he stopped in front of the yellow taxi for a fun portrait!

Amy and Jordan
I feel so honored that I get to shoot this couple's wedding in September. They are both such
nifty individuals. I know they will be unstoppable as a couple. They are just too stink'in smart, funny, and
cute! Which is why I added so many of their images to the blog. It was just too much fun not to share! Thanks
Amy and Jordan for a fun day.

Lindsay's maternity images
Wow. It's been a very long time since I last posted anything. Winter is tough around here sometimes. Hard to not let the
grey days get to ya. Spring is just around the corner, with all of it's life and growth! Which brings me to this post. These are some images from a maternity session with Lindsay. She was so calm and so laid back...I know she'll be an awesome Mom.

Baby Cole
I hope this entry finds everyone happy and well rested from the holidays! ha. I laugh, because sometimes, if you are like me, I need a special vacation after the holidays to recoup. Seriously, we had a good one with lots of fun and laughs. I hope you did too!!
Meet little Cole. He is two weeks old and, wow, what a great little one to photograph. He really did well for such a youngster.
As you can see, he slept a lot and really posed well for us! He is so cute...just had to share.

family session with the Stovalls
I had so much fun doing a session with the Stovall family. What's really cool is that Julie and I went to high school together, were college roommates, and had lost touch for many years until this past summer at our 20 year reunion. I know..... I'm dating myself! It is so great being in touch with her again and getting to meet her beautiful family! We had a gorgeous day at Springfield Lake. They were real troopers, as we did quite a lot of hill work!
